The majority of its employees, however, works outside the company headquarters in several hotels at various locations. The company needed improvements in facilitating staff’s access to important company topics and relieving the e-mail accounts of HR, administrative, and accounting departments from an internal message overload.
The main communication challenge was to reach all employees at the same time. This was difficult not only because of their geographic dispersion but also due to the shift work and the necessity to get in touch with people who – owing to the specific nature of their positions – would not use computers during their working hours. For these reasons, company information was delivered to some employees indirectly and with a delay.
