We facilitated an option of company’s emplo and Active Directory full integration, both through SSO and EmploAdImport client application.
SSO – integration consisting in logging into emplo by the use of login and password from AD (Active Directory). The integration is about configuring ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services), which was described in a separate document.
EmploAdImport – importing and synchronizing users list with Active Directory through client application (EmploAdImport) based on the Client’s server (in the Client’s network) and sending data to emplo through API emplo (through HTTPS).
Both integrations work independently – they can be configured together or one of them separately.
SSO, as well as, EmploAdImport allow an automatic emplo user’s data completing on the basis of data located in Active Directory. The synchronization is possible only in one direction: from Active Directory to emplo.During the SSO integration there is possible an individual user’s data update, each time after the user logs into the system. If a user does not exist in emplo, an account will be automatically created during the first log in. In that case, user enters the registration form, where data, which wasn’t available in AD, can be filled in individually. A user’s profile is automatically completed/updated on the basis of claims received from AD after each successful log in through SSO. Data synchronization depends on whether the user logs into the system. At the moment of logging, emplo system does not have an access to other users’ data, especially in case when a user’s manager hasn’t logged into the system yet – emplo will not give an option of automatic manager’s account creation. The manager will stay incomplete until he or she logs in on their own.
Integration with the use of EmploAdImport allows synchronization of complete users list, regardless of the log in process. The synchronization can be conducted cyclically or at any given moment on demand. The typical scenario is cyclical synchronization activation (for instance, by means of Windows Scheduler) once a day. First EmploAdImport activation will also automatically create in emplo connected with employees data, such as: positions, companies and teams.
